Description
Purchased from Normand Park Lane Mayfair London by Mr Du Cane and delivered in August 1983 at a cost of £12931. Mr Du Cane kept the vehicle either at his home in London or his residence in France.
Mr Welch of Surrey bought the Mercedes in 2002 and kept the car until he sold it in 2019 to a Mr Williams until I purchased the Mercedes’.
All this is documented in a complete file that shows all the history with invoices along with the original bill of sale. Also the Mercedes’ comes with two sets of keys and the original key fob from Normands of Park Lane. Still on its original dealers number plates.
The car is in lovely original condition with low mileage it has been kept in fabulous condition and always garaged. It’s wanted for nothing and the underside of the vehicle is in such great condition. The sills are also fantastic and are still in grey as they would have done from factory very rare.
The car starts and drives without fault. The gearbox works smoothly and on the road it has no squeaks or rattles.
It had a engine rebuild at a cost of £4000 in 2021 at a specialist. This included as below within that build.
Re grind crankshaft
Piston rings
Timing chain
Head gasket set
Cylinder head reface
Full service
Radiator
Starter motor
Etc.
All arches are in exceptional condition
The sunroof does not leak and has been serviced.
It’s also manual as on all S123’s
The paintwork is also in exceptional condition
The interior and doors are brilliant and free from rust even the bottoms of the doors are perfect. The car has never been apart so all door shut lines are still factory.
It has the retractable door guard and full load cover that’s also retractable.
All tyres are very good along with the spare.
All chrome is in first class order along with undamaged bumpers. It also has never had a tow bar fitted.
To sum up it a fabulous Mercedes S123 very rare in this condition and priced to sell.
Genuine reason for sale as I have bought a Land Rover as it suits my needs better.
It does have lower drivers seat fabric wear
And it does have some tailgate rust.
