2004 BMW R1150RT. Full history & very low mileage in superb condition
I looked long and hard to find the right RT and found this one last year and it was purchased to do the NC500 in Scotland. This bike perfectly fitted the bill as she was came with just 18, 665 miles, fully supported by old MOT’s and a full service history.
The bike was laid up over the winter then in April she had a major service as hadn’t been on the road for a couple of years and had new plugs, an oil and filter change, new air filter (a very fiddly job that involves removing half of the bikes bodywork), rear drive oil, new gearbox oil and a new front tyre.
I took her to Scotland in July and she was absolutely brilliant and did 1, 800 miles without missing a beat and was very comfortable indeed to ride. Since then I have done a 400 mile trip to Devon and she is ready for her next adventure. Why am I selling? Well, I was so impressed with the RT, that I have gone out and bought a newer one, as these are just fabulous touring bikes and brilliant at what they do. I would not hesitate to jump on this bike and ride it across Europe tomorrow as she is a super reliable machine and in absolutely excellent all round condition.
Finished in gleaming grey, she comes with full luggage and all the usual RT niceties, including heated grips, electric screen, stereo etc and I will include the new pannier bags which I bought for Scotland and mean that you can remove your luggage with ease, without having to carry cumbersome, grubby panniers and have proved to be very useful indeed.
The bike was supplied by new by Wollaston BMW in Northants and comes with the full owners book pack, folders with MOT history, receipts, HPI check when I bought her (all clear), owners manual, service book etc. 2 x keys and she also has a Givi Topbox and two very good tyres, along with a recent new exhaust system by Delkevic and a battery. There is full MOT history to support the mileage of just 21, 481 miles (so just 2, 816 miles since she had a major service) and the service history is as follows:
