Description
The VW Polo, Small yet Great!
Only Selling due to buying a house,
all offers welcome!
Here for sale is my 1977 Mk1 polo in Mars Read, equipped with its mighty original 900cc engine.
This is a very early polo with the early Audi 50 wood style dash board and small metal bumpers!
Nardi Steering wheel fitted that goes brilliantly with the dash board
Also equipped is the original vary rare hounds tooth seats that have been recently upholstered and look amazing.
Currently on lowered springs with is original steel wheels banded slightly!
I absolutely love this car, after all the years of owning (9 plus years) i still look at it and think "what a cool little car" the only reason for sale is that i don't have the time or space to keep it. I've come to realise he needs to go to a good home that will look after him properly.
Its been under cover on and off and at my work garage for the past few years and only driven out a few times, the times i have taken it out it always turns heads and the occasional "would you sell it"
This is the only RHD 1977 Year Polo Licenced! And maybe even the last one left of its year!
It has an amazing history folder with it and brochures that I've collected over the years as you can see from the photos.
The mots start from 1982 all the way to 1996 when it was then put in a barn and forgotten about for the next 19 years. I then purchased the car in late 2015 when it was pulled out of that barn, i recommissioned it and it passed its mot in April 2016. From then on i used him as a daily car for the next 5 years.
The following work has been carried out throughout my owner ship...

Remember this is a 48 Year old Vehicle!
Its a lowered tin can on wheels so don't expect it to drive like a brand new Audi!
Overall the vehicle is in amazing condition for it age.
Starts first time every time and goes into gear lovely!
My intention was to put it on air ride with a nice set of alloys and do a engine swap or upgrade but again time and life has gotten in the way
Currently its got no mot as its mot exempt but more then welcome to mot it if the future buyer would like me too for piece of mind
I am in the motor trade and have been restoring classic cars for the past 10years
No swaps
Any questions please feel free to message me.
