Description
1928 Austin Seven ‘Chummy’ - MP 5555
This is a beautiful example of the classic 1920’s open top tourer known as the Austin 7 Chummy. This is the early model with the headlamps set back on the bulkhead rather than on the front wings as with later models.
The price shown is for the car with the current registration.
The car is in excellent condition throughout and was used on a regular basis up until a few years ago when Ill health prevented it. This car has won many prizes and is well known within the Essex Austin 7 club. The car has been owned by its present owner since 1988 when it was acquired and underwent a full restoration using all original parts. It is in original running condition and starts easily on the button. The hood is in great working unmarked condition as are the full set of side panels. Seats have been re-upholstered as per the original design.
There is lots of paperwork to accompany the car including the original buff log book showing the car started out in life in Sunbury-on-Thames, after which it moved to Maldon, Essex.
