Volkswagen T25 (T3) Syncro 1989 LHD
Here’s my T3 Syncro up for sale. I’ve used this as my daily driver for around 4 years and have loved every drive. It gets more attention and comments than our Shiny Bright Orange T2 Camper when out and about!
We’ve used it to ferry the kids around and as a work vehicle - only selling as the recent Clean Air Zone restrictions in my city make for some long detours to avoid the charge. I’ve had to buy a dull modern van to replace it with.
Fitted with a VW Golf 2. 0 GTI engine (AGG) by the previous owner, it’s been pretty much impeccably reliable, only needing the AA to replace a relay once to get me going again.
The gearbox has been overhauled by Aiden Talbot when i first bought it (his report and invoice available to see) along with a new propshaft and the Viscous Coupling sorted by Ian Holman so the transmission has been gone through and all works as it should - along with the rear difflock. The electric power steering makes parking a breeze!
The bodywork is in decent shape - the seams are pretty good which is a weak point on these vans as you know. It’s had a bit of welding done here and there to keep it solid and some paintwork redone following in from that and where it was keyed down the side last year.
Inside it has a Westfalia camping interior in Grey - needs the installation finishing off but it’s all there and looks just right for the van. The front seats are half leather (I think it’s leather anyway!) captain seats.
