I am offering for sale my 2002 BMW M3. I have known this car since 2011, when my friend, neighbour, an Aston Martin engineer became its second owner. He was looking for a CSL but bought this as it was in such good condition. He kept it 2 years before selling to an Aston Martin colleague to fund a 911 GT3 purchase. I bought the car some months later and have owned it for the last 12 years. I initially used it for commuting to my job as an engineer at Renault F1 but retired it from daily use after 2 years and have only used it occasionally each summer ever since. As far as I know it has never been used on track.
The service history is complete and includes the running in service and big end bearing recall all being completed. The car has recently been given an Inspection 2 service, including valve clearance checks, by Darragh at EverythingM3s, who gave the car a clean bill health and reported that it was one of best driving cars they'd seen in a while. This is no doubt helped by the 18" wheels as preferred by those more discerning than me, which wear a set of Continental Contisportcontacts, as they did when new. Apart from a set of Goodrich braided brake lines, the car is completely standard, using OE parts whenever possible, often ordered from BMW. The puncture repair kit is complete, and I can include a correctly sized and unused space saver, wheel chock and jack.
The car presents very well as I hope the photos show and can be enjoyed as is or taken to a concours level if you wished. This is a very reluctant sale to fund the purchase of some Italian exotica.
