1927 Austin 12/ 4 ‘Windsor’ family saloon in Maroon & Black. Very reliable, good brakes, good tyres, steers well because it has that wheel thingy with controls for advance and retard (which is disconnected as it is now auto-A&R) and throttle control. Starts on the button, fronts seats could do with TLC, back seats original, carpets original, all doors solid (well they have glass in them and they wind down), it’s a lovely solid car, rear rack off but available (looks better without) Some electric mod’s (battery management, stops over-charging, power on demand) Battery isolator. Beautiful long stroke engine (no blue smoke) ticks over like it should. A good example and collects an audience when used daily. We need the space as we have two other Vintage Austin’s and no room in our garage. PLEASE don’t leave messages (we like the invention of the telephone). Please also don’t be put off by being easy to view in Anglesey, it’s part of Britain, we speak English, we can make you a cuppa-tea (or decaf coffee) and you can have any trial on our 20 mph roads. We just need the room. We love Austin’s - we’ve had a lot, but in our 70’s and we moved here to sunny Anglesey with 5 cars but only one garage. As members of the VAR we assure you of an honest deal, we just need the room (or we’ll swop for a ‘Clifton Tourer’ which was the first to go - unfortunately! as that is our favourite.
