Description
Between June 1993 and October 1996 BMW produced 1510 BMW 850CSi's.
Divided; 1350 units Left Hand drive and a mere 160 in Right.
This particular 850CSi now offered for sale is the very last Right Hand Drive to be produced.
It completed build: June 12th 1996 and was first registered: September 26th 1996.
Overall this Vehicle is in very good condition throughout, showing no signs that would indicate even a normal level of use. Thankfully having been garaged for 18 years (out of the 22 years I've owned this vehicle) the overall exposure to the elements, and to the effects of UV light, has been particularly low.
This reflecting greatly in condition.
All of the vehicles systems are fully functional and operate as the manufacturer designed and intended, without snags, glitches or delay.
This BMW 'individual specification' vehicle boasts Lotus White leather front and rear seats, Black and Lotus White leather door panelling and rear side panels. The rear centre arm rest clad in Black leather.
The silver grey passenger compartment carpeting (including matching original BMW fitted front and rear mats) is continued through into the luggage area. The Alcantara headlining being anthracite in colour.

Vehicle Imperfections: -
1). Bonnet - O/ S front corner (the small flat section that extends forward and to the side of the headlight aperture). Following a scratch repair.
2). Passenger door - Along the bottom edge, extending towards the quarter panel; following the repair of a light scratch.
3). Drivers door - Surface corrosion along the bottom inner edge of the door, (this can be seen in one of the supplied close-up images). Please note; this corrosion is not 'through panel' and as a result the integrity of the door / panel is not compromised. Additional note; this corrosion is not visible along the outer edge of the door panel and therefore is not visible whilst the door is closed.
4). There are five very small localised spots of corrosion around the outer most edge of the solid (non Glass) sunroof, I have taken a photograph specifically detailing this (zooming in will allow you to see in more detail).
5). The one and only, what may be described as a leak (in this case a periodic drip,) emerges from the front / leading edge of the Bell housing. The leak, that of Engine Oil, relates to (and as a result of) the rear Crankshaft oil seal. This amounts to a very small quantity over a particularly prolonged period of time. As this "singular source" leak / weep is miniscule, (and a "non intrusive" operation regards rectification (in relation to the replacement of a clutch, removal of the flywheel would reveal the specific oil seal in question)) it's something that in miles / years to come would see this familiar and routinely dealt with symptom rectified. Alongside myself there have been three other keepers of this CSi.
I believe 'Lind Ltd. (BMW Norwich) to been the first, and myself six years on, purchasing this vehicle on the 18th of November 2002.
During my ownership of this very vehicle all servicing and maintenance has always been performed by myself and myself only. These works religiously carried out to an impeccably high standard and on a "No expense spared" approach.
Attention to detail, seen as there's no reason to be anything other than meticulous, ensures 100% accuracy from start to finish. Having no 'commercial workshop' time constraints and / or targets, of which have to be harmoniously adhered to, facilitates this undoubtedly.
With both valid and strong reasons for adopting an "owner maintained" approach comes down to one unequivocal component; attention to detail.
Have this, and you have all bases covered; Workmanship, through to piece-of-mind.
This to me is both "Service" and "History, and with over 35 years experience maintaining and servicing vehicles, and a time-served engineer, sees me capable and confident when undertaking these tasks and indeed many more.

THE COLOUR;
I believe BMW Germany may have chosen this particular colour to mark production completion of the CSi.
The very last Left Hand Drive CSi (produced; December 1996) also given this very same colour (Lilac Metallic; FE86-403x (FQ95-2915)).
I also believe there not to be any other CSi to have received this colour, thus, I believe, making this the only RHD CSi in this colour. That said, BMW Germany are unable to identify which 8 series received which colours during manufacture and as such are unfortunately unable to back-up this final statement - I understand early records do not facilitate the cross-referencing of V. I. N and Paint code data.
The final year of production saw only 10 Right Hand Drive CSi's built.
This very CSi being the ultimate marquee.
I have correspondence from BMW Germany as a result of V. I. N verification. I would be more than happy to present this evidence to any potential new owner.
Currently this vehicle does not have a valid M. O. T. certificate. I am holding off obtaining pending further interest.
During my ownership of this fantastically unique (one technically of only four equally unique vehicles (the 1st & last LHD CSi produced & the 1st & last RHD)) and amazing vehicle I have completed very few miles indeed. The latter part of this period having seen a further reduction in use, if that was even at all possible!
I know now, and also forward toward the future, I am, and will be, unable to exercise this vehicle as it was indeed designed and intended. To this extent I believe it's now time for another to have the opportunity to own not only a fabulous piece of machinery, but a tremendously rare piece.
PLEASE NOTE;
The V. R. N. is not included in the sale of the Vehicle but may be available separately.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE;
This vehicle has not been subject to restoration and as such is a factory example.
Thank you for both your time and interest.
