Most 850i models left the factory with automatic transmission. This one is a manual. For anyone familiar with BMW's V12 coupé, that single word changes everything: it's the version that E31 collectors search for and almost never find.
Clear provenance
- Family car: it belonged to the current owner's father. Never treated as an investment, but as a passion carefully maintained.
- Complete BMW service book from delivery, first service recorded at 1, 405 km.
- Inspected 06. 05. 2024 (CH). Preserved rather than driven hard in recent years.
What sets it apart
- 5. 0L V12 "M70" engine, 300 bhp, and most importantly, the rare 6-speed manual gearbox.
- Major servicing already completed: clutch and slave cylinder replaced, entire rear axle removed and overhauled, Bilstein dampers fitted at the front, new water pump, thermostat and hoses, new air-conditioning compressor, new brake pressure accumulator, bespoke stainless steel flexible exhaust. Last service spring 2025.
- An exceptionally comprehensive collection of spare parts included: two cylinder heads, an additional 6-speed manual gearbox, four original Alpina wheels with new tyres, catalytic converters, injectors, DME control units, and more.
- Carefully chosen styling touches: Alpina Classic wheels, Alpina B12 lowering springs, Personal wood-trimmed steering wheel, Nardi gear knob and gaiter.
