Description
This Lancia Delta II Series 1. 6 i. e. Extra Lusso from 1995 represents a piece of Italian history from the 1990s, today increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts.
The car has had only two owners.
With the first owner it covered about 65, 000 km; subsequently, at about 89, 000 km, the engine was replaced, which since then has received regular servicing every 8-10, 000 km.
The timing belt has been done twice.
Until a few weeks ago the car was perfectly functional. Currently it starts regularly, but is not driveable due to a clutch problem. It is also noted that a check of the cooling system may be necessary, as the engine has recorded overheating episodes.
This "Extra Lusso" version offers a full equipment:
Central locking
Front and rear electric windows
Electrically adjustable mirrors
Air conditioning
All accessories are in perfect working order.
The car is equipped with a LPG system, regularly checked and serviced every year at an authorised workshop.
The sale also includes a precious set of original spare parts that are difficult to source, included in the price.
The bodywork, repainted in the past in Ferrari Red compared to the original Bordeaux colour, is in conditions coherent with age and use.

Scratches and marks scattered
Some localized rust spots
Rear bumper bumped by another car while parked (cosmetic, not structural)
Other small imperfections and everyday-use defects
Overall the car presents a presentable appearance and represents a solid, honest base for a light restoration or enthusiastic use, with no hidden surprises.
Condition
The car starts regularly but does not move (clutch KO).
Possible overheating of the cooling system → to be checked.
Steering and brakes work, so the car can be loaded onto a trailer or tow truck.

I bought this Delta because it represented the typical Italian saloon of the 1990s: solid, comfortable and with an elegant but practical line.
It was a family car, used regularly and always well maintained. With the first owner it covered about 79, 000 km, then at 89, 000 km the engine was replaced, which since then has always received regular servicing every 8-10, 000 km. The timing belt was done twice, and the LPG system has always been maintained by an authorised workshop with annual inspections.
What sets it apart is the Extra Lusso trim, rare for the era, which already offered modern comforts such as air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, electric mirrors and central locking, all of which are still working.
What I like most about this car is its balance: it is practical with LPG, comfortable on long journeys, but at the same time conveys the authentic charm of the Delta of the 90s. For me it has always been more than a means of transport: it is a piece of family life, with many memories tied to trips and daily commuting.
Today I hope it may find a new enthusiast who can give it the right attention and put it back on the road.
