Triumph 2500 recently had full mechanical overhaul having Triumph 2. 5 pi engine and overdrive and differential fitted the engine has had a full rebuild including block and head chemically cleaned engine faces skimmed cam bearings line bored crank regrind rebored using high quality pistons new forged steel connecting rods lightened & balanced fly wheel Sachs clutch head machined unleaded inserts high quality bronze valve guides and valves TR5 fast road cam Kent adjustable Verner cam gear new high flow oil pump new cylinder head studs everything on the engine has been done to a high standard its covers just over 1600 miles and run in properly its had and oil change at 500 miles and 1000 miles .
The gearbox was striped cleaned and new gaskets and oil seals fitted , new quilt shaft bearings seals and output shafts seals and bearings
Triple webers fitted with six branch exhaust manifold and sports exhaust Su's hs6 carburettors and manifold come with the car jetted as I ran it in with these fitted It has front antiroll bar fitted duel braking system
The car has never been welded underneath all original sills panels the underside was stripped off a couple of years ago and recoated
lots of new old stock parts fitted it comes with lots of spares plus original wheels hubcaps original steering wheel This build has cost around £15000 with out the original purchase cost of the car I have all the paperwork pretty much going back to day one and magazine articles in classic car and practical classics original hand book sales brochureThe first owner kept the car out of the rain as much as possible which probably saved the car
Set out to build a fast road car it pull really well
The overal millage for the car is around 78000 from new I fitted a nos 2500 speedo when I converted the car to 2500 so it reads correctly
