This beetle convertible is the 1. 6 non-turbo version and as such is the cheapest to insure and run. This car has had 2 long term owners both ladies first was 10 years from new and second owner 12 years. It has an impressive service history and is well documented. This beetle has truly been loved and cherished and as such has low miles for its age. A recent MOT had revealed works that was needed and as such these works were carried out as all bits replaced to allow the MOT to be issued and this MOT expires June 2026. A recent MAJOR service also in June 2025 consisting of oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, fuel filter, 4 spark plugs, two track rod ends, A cambelt & water pump replaced again in June 2025. The cambelt and water pump was also replaced back in 2015. All wheels has recently been refurbished and re-painted silver, including red brake calipers. New Pirelli tyres all round and tracking (with certificate in hand in July 2025) a Brake fluid change and 2 lambda sensors replaced. Exhaust flexi pipes replaced as well. A brand new battery. This car sat for a long periods and only used occasionally by its last owner. A major overhaul service of the sunroof was carried out that included 2 rear window regulators replaced and micro switches installed. This beetle lasted 22 years on original roof and parts so now it has another many years without issues to roof. All books and manuals are present complete with 2 remote control keys, all invoices and bills and the all IMPORTANT SUN FLOWER in its lockable vase. A sunroof cover to finish off its beetle cabrio looks. It drives exceptionally smoothly and that is not surprising as looked after cars mainly do. It has not been smoked in so no dodgy odours to contend. Not many 1. 6's non turbos are available as this allows for the younger driver to insure. It is also more economical to insure & drive.
This Beetle has undergone an extensive overhaul and money has been spent and can be proved so that the new buyer will have need to. This iconic Beetle Cabriolet is not everyone's type of car. It is for the person who likes to be different and cool.
