FOR SALE (OR POSS PX WITH CASH MY WAY FOR A ROVER P6.) OPEL MANTA A SERIES 1900 SR RALLYE AUTO 1972.
So it is with much regret that I find myself having to sell/ part with my lovely Manta. (financial/ pension reasons.)
As you can see she is a real stunner. Great condition being an older restoration (some 15 years ago) and kept In its original colour.
I have recently renewed the carpets, had the front seats refurbished, replaced the original tatty Rostyle wheels (which I still have.) for the earlier Manta wheels which are now very rare and I think so much better looking.
Loads of history including proof of the low 72k that she shows on the clock.
One of the prev owners had her for some 25 years and was the Chairman of the OMOC so the car is very well know.
She is a past trophy winner and has appeared in classic car magazines. The latest only last month. (see pics.)
Both engine and gearbox are without fault. No diff noise. No smoke with very smooth up/ down gear changes.
I have also recently changed the oil/ filter/ plugs/ leads too.
One thing that should be addressed is the seal for the rare factory sliding sunroof could do with being replaced at some point.
Possible PX option with a nice Rover P6 with cash my way.
