This 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 has been meticulously upgraded over the last three years to be a reliable and highly capable off-road vehicle.
The heart of this build is a powerful 4. 5L EFI straight-six petrol engine from a 76-series Land Cruiser. The engine itself, with approximately 200, 000 km, was fully reconditioned at 180, 000 km before being fitted. The vehicle's odometer reads 400, 000 km on the chassis. It runs perfectly, with all common issues addressed through quality aftermarket parts.
Performance upgrades are extensive. It features a new Terrain Tamer parabolic spring suspension with adjustable shock absorbers, and a Terrain Tamer brake upgrade. The engine breathes better with a snorkel and a performance exhaust and intercooler from Snymans 4x4, all tied together with a Mischief Motorsport performance chip and tune. The clutch has also been rebuilt.
The vehicle sits on a new set of 17-inch steel rims and is equipped with a Front Runner roof rack. The interior has been fully rebuilt with new leather seats and trim.
