289 V8, AUTO TRANS, PWR STEER/ FRNT DISC, DUAL EXHAUST, RUNS/ DRIVES GR8, CLEAN!!
Shining paint, a distinct interior, A/ C comfort, and plenty of detail work create a very cool look on this 1968 Ford Mustang.
Highland Green is an awesome Mustang colour. After all, it was made famous by Steve McQueen in Bullitt. There's a nice metallic element that McQueen never had, and so this coupe loves to radiate in the sunlight. Plus, with the chrome bumpers giving off just as much shine, you'll proudly show this classic off everywhere. It even has great details, like the Deluxe hood with functional turn signals. Plus, there are nice sporty upgrades, like the Torq Thrust wheels, hood pins, and the pinstripe that hints at the interior colour.
Inside, the presentation has remained highly original, and I understand exactly why. This was ordered as both a premium and distinct coupe. The Ivy Gold and white two-tone in Deluxe trim is a standout all on its own. This one comes with all the best period-correct premium pieces. it includes the centre console, wood-like trim, and rare overhead console. While this has a true factory-style presentation (right down to the working AM radio,) you will see a few subtle but helpful upgrades. This includes an updated wood and chrome sports steering wheel and handy tach on the steering column. Plus, the factory air conditioning has been converted to modern R134a to make sure you get to continue feeling as cool as you look behind the wheel.
This is a C-code Mustang, and so you get Ford's 289 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. There has been a nice investment here and the air intake has been replaced with a chrome replacement. I have the old air topper in bright blue along with the grill emblems. More than just looking good, there are a host of newer parts to keep it running smooth, including the alternator, belts, fan, and radiator.
It's a string driver, and so you'll really appreciate the great anytime driving features like power steering, the three-speed automatic transmission, and power brakes with discs up front.
