Rear Brake CalipersMy hobby is to find and restore older Mercedes Benz, I very much enjoy the process of bringing a car back to its best and as my full time job is working for a Mercedes Benz main dealer it allows me access to discounted parts and technical expertise.
I purchased this car after searching for an early W124 as they are known to be less susceptible to corrosion and better built than later examples. I was fortunate to discover this example which had been owned by a Mercedes Benz trained technician but had been off the road due to its home being in the London ULEZ zone.
The car was remarkably corrosion free apart from some light corrosion around the jacking points, but nothing in the normal areas in the wheel wells or inner wings. It was also clear that it had regular maintenance which now its back on the road is evidently of benefit. The car has been refreshed and cosmetically restored so is now ready to be enjoyed.
