For sale is my 2004 Mazda MX-5 Mk2 1. 8 VVT. It's had five owners from new and has covered just over 80, 000 miles. The previous owner spared no expense on maintenance and carried out a lot of work to make the car solid, which means it hasn't needed anything during my ownership. He kept it garaged throughout his time with it, and since I've owned it, it's never been driven in the rain and has always been stored under an outdoor cover.
It's only seen very light use over the past five years and starts on the button every time. The car comes with a comprehensive service history and was serviced at its last MOT, which runs until 03/ 04/ 2026. The sills were professionally repaired in 2021, and it was fully undersealed and cavity waxed in 2020. There is no visible rust on the wheel arches or sills.
Being a 21-year-old car, there are some imperfections in the paint, and the lacquer on the alloys has started to peel. A proper detail would make the paint look fantastic, but it already presents very well for its age.
It has a few tasteful upgrades, including a Moss door bushing kit, a Cobalt exhaust, a Zunsport grille and chrome scuff plates. Both an outdoor cover and an indoor dust cover are included. It's a clean, well-looked-after Mk2 that's been cared for properly and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
