1982 Toyota Hilux imported from Thailand. UK-registered, tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt. Good running order and has been used lightly since arriving in the UK in February 2024. The bodywork looks tidy for its age, and it presents well overall.
Recent work includes a new head gasket in October 2024 and a new windscreen in May 2025. During the head gasket replacement, the mechanic advised that the radiator has a crack, so it will need repair or replacement in due course.
The truck starts reliably with choke and runs smoothly once warmed up.
The interior is partway through being refreshed, and the door cards currently don’t match, although both full sets are included. The seats are in good condition, and the dashboard shows light age-related wear.
Viewings welcome by arrangement. Sensible offers will be considered. I bought the Hilux because I wanted something simple, solid and reliable. It’s been great fun to own and always gets attention when it’s out. It’s a genuine classic that still feels practical to use, and it deserves someone who’ll finish the small remaining jobs and keep it on the road.
