1998 Registered (18 June 1998) At Lark Valley Carriage Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes S Class S500 Long Wheel Base in Ruby Red with Orion Grey leather Owned by me for the last 4 1/ 2 years having purchased from a classic car specialist in Merseyside July 2021 with 63, 000 miles now on 70, 000 Miles. (Only used on weekends and long journeys) Mercedes Main Dealer Service History First Nine Services then the Tenth Service was carried out by the specialist who I purchased it off who had a full service carried out including Spark plugs before handover to myself. I have also had a service carried out 3, 000 miles ago from my local specialist including new front brake discs and brake pads. The wheels were also professionally refurbished retaining the factory diamond cut lip and these are still like new.
The time has come for a new Custodian for my beautiful car which I will dearly miss but due to work commitments and working long hours I'm not using it enough. I had bought this car to keep for many many years as It was a dream of mine to own a W140 long wheel base which I have really loved and enjoyed especially on them long journeys. What an Epic car it is.

Since my ownership Apart from the Service and Front Brakes I have also replaced the rear tyres with Matching Dunlop SP Sport Max Tyres (Same as front), New Battery in 2023, Rear Drop Links. This year I have had new Wipers fitted, New Front Coil Springs (Genuine from my local Mercedes dealer) new front wishbones, new inner tie rods and wheel alignment, as Preventative maintainace I also had a Genuine Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter fitted (Supplied by my local Mercedes Dealer)
The W140 was the pinnacle of Mercedes. They were built like tanks and puts modern Mercedes vehicles to shame. The 140 Chassis is a car that will never be repeated, they were surely a one off Saloon car!
Everything in my S500 works, the soft close doors all work perfectly, the soft close boot works like it should with the retractable handle that pops out automatically. Central Locking works perfect with both keys. The Lumbar/ Electric/ Heated Seat Adjustments work on both seats. The electric Sunroof operates as it should. The steering wheel goes up and down Electrically, Air Conditioning is Ice Cold.
The S Class Is in lovely condition with no rust and clean wings and Arches. The 18" wheels are perfect. It has always remained indoors in my garage when not in use. There are of course age related odd marks/ small blemishes to be expected from a 27 year old car but overall it is stunning as can be seen. The Mot is due 29 April 2026. I have both remote keys with the car with its original leather wallet, manuals, service booklet etc. Spare wheel with toolkit are all there. Original Dealer Plates (Lark Valley Carriage) are still with the car which will be put on as my private registration will be coming off.
