1914 Cadillac Landaulet Coupe

I am selling my rare Cadillac Landaulet Coupe. It has been in my ownership for 8 years. Worldwide, probably only 3 vehicles have survived out of approx. 50 originally built.
My vehicle was extensively restored in the USA (>100kUS$), however the work could not be completed by the previous owner. It is a vehicle from the model year 1914 and has a powerful 4 cylinder engine with 6 litres capacity and a rear axle with a double differential. This was only available in 1914.
The body is made by the coachbuilder Fischer and shows the beautiful tulip shape. The rear part of the coupe roof can be opened in a few easy steps.
I would like to part with the rare Cadillac Landaulet Coupe for healthy reasons. As this is one of the rarest American cars of the marque, the restoration should be completed and the car used regularly.

In addition, there are hundreds of smaller spare parts, extra tyres, original manuals and two complete sets of keys (ignition, doors and boot) that are part of the offer.
The car is currently located in Germany near the Dutch border. From my point of view it would be nice if the car would find its way back to its home country. I have experience in importing and exporting vehicles and would be happy to assist. A delivery to e. g. the port of Rotterdam is easily possible. The original American title is available.
My expected price is only 34. 000 EUR (39. 000 US$). The vehicle has US title and is duty paid in Europe. I am happy to help with shipping to the USA or Canada.

Ich verkaufe mein seltenes Cadillac Landaulet Coupé, das sich seit 8 Jahren in meinem Besitz befindet. Weltweit haben von den ursprünglich rund 50 gebauten Fahrzeugen vermutlich nur drei Exemplare überlebt.
Mein Fahrzeug wurde in den USA umfassend restauriert (Kosten über 100. 000 US-Dollar), allerdings konnte die Arbeit vom Vorbesitzer nicht vollständig abgeschlossen werden. Es handelt sich um ein Modell des Baujahrs 1914 mit einem kraftvollen 4-Zylinder-Motor mit 6 Litern Hubraum sowie einer Hinterachse mit Doppeldifferenzial – eine Konstruktion, die ausschließlich im Jahr 1914 verwendet wurde.
Die Karosserie stammt vom renommierten Karosseriebauer Fisher und zeigt die elegante Tulpenform. Das hintere Teil des Coupédachs lässt sich in wenigen einfachen Schritten öffnen.
Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen möchte ich mich von diesem seltenen Cadillac Landaulet Coupé trennen. Da es sich um eines der seltensten amerikanischen Fahrzeuge der Marke handelt, sollte die Restaurierung fertiggestellt und das Auto anschließend regelmäßig bewegt werden.

Darüber hinaus gehören zum Angebot hunderte kleinere Ersatzteile, zusätzliche Reifen, originale Handbücher sowie zwei komplette Schlüsselsätze (Zündung, Türen und Kofferraum).
Das Fahrzeug befindet sich derzeit in Deutschland nahe der niederländischen Grenze. Aus meiner Sicht wäre es schön, wenn der Wagen in sein Heimatland zurückkehren würde. Ich habe Erfahrung im Im- und Export von Fahrzeugen und unterstütze gern. Eine Lieferung beispielsweise zum Hafen Rotterdam ist problemlos möglich. Der originale US-Titel liegt vor.
Mein Preisvorstellung beträgt nur 34. 000 EUR (39. 000 US-Dollar). Das Fahrzeug besitzt einen US-Title und ist in Europa verzollt. Gerne helfe ich bei der Verschiffung in die USA oder nach Kanada.

The Cadillac Landaulet Coupe left the factory in Detroit, Michigan on 24. 12. 1913. The car was delivered in 1914 to John H. and Mary Phillips in Jackson, Michigan. The family had 10 children and also owned a seven-seat Cadillac limousine. The car was used by Mrs. Phillips. After her death, the car was taken over by her daughter Nina Lake and her husband Ford of Dowagiac, Michigan, in June 1922. The car was driven regularly until Ford's death in 1951. After that, Nina rarely used the car and finally put it in a barn. In 1982, after Nina's death, Robert Hustalk discovered the car. He brought the car to the REO Museum in Lansing, Michigan. In 1986, it was sold to Dr. Elroy Kidle, a dentist from Saranac, Michigan.
Over the next few decades, the car underwent a very extensive restoration. It was completely disassembled, the chassis with all attachments was restored, the 4 cylinder engine was restored by Cadillac expert, George Kaforski, much of the woodwork was redone, the body was completely repaired and parts of the interior and wiring were restored. According to his own statement, Mr. Kidle invested more than US$100, 000 in the restoration. This can be checked out on the internet:

Due to health and age reasons, the American owner has not been able to finish the restoration. The car has been driven, but the interior still needs to be finished and the car needs to be painted. The original components of the interior (bufferd leather panels, window blinds and many other parts) are completely present and can be used.
After the death of Dr. Kidle, the vehicle was acquired by me in September 2016. The vehicle has since been displayed in my private collection. All mechanical parts, including the engine, are moved regularly to avoid standing damage.

Der Wagen wurde von Mrs. Phillips benutzt. Nach ihrem Tod wurde das Fahrzeug im Juni 1922 von ihrer Tochter Nina Lake und ihrem Mann Ford aus Dowagiac, Michigan, übernommen. Der Wagen wurde bis zum Tod von Ford im Jahr 1951 regelmäßig gefahren. Danach benutzte Nina den Wagen nur noch selten und stellte ihn schließlich in eine Scheune. 1982, nach dem Tod von Nina, entdeckte Robert Hustalk das Auto. Er brachte das Fahrzeug in das REO Museum in Lansing, Michigan. Im Jahr 1986 wurde es an den Zahnarzt Dr. Elroy Kidle aus Saranac, Michigan, verkauft.
In den nächsten Jahrzehnten wurde der Wagen sehr aufwendig restauriert. Er wurde komplett zerlegt, das Chassis mit allen Anbauteilen wurde restauriert, der 4 Zylinder Motor wurde bei dem Cadillac-Experten, George Kaforski, restauriert, der Holzaufbau wurde zu großen Teilen neu gemacht, die Karosserie wurde komplett instandgesetzt und Teile der Inneneinrichtung und die Verkabelung restauriert. Aus Gesundheits- und Altersgründen hat der amerikanische Besitzer die Restauration nicht beenden können. Der Wagen wurde zwar gefahren, allerdings muss das Interieur noch fertig restauriert und das Fahrzeug lackiert werden. Die originalen Bestandteile des Interieurs (Verkleidungen aus glattem Leder, Rollos und viele andere Teile) sind komplett vorhanden und können genutzt werden.
Nach dem Tod von Dr. Kidle wurde das Fahrzeug im September 2016 von mir erworben. Das Fahrzeug wird seitdem in meiner privaten Sammlung gezeigt. Alle mechanischen Teile, inklusive dem Motor werden regelmäßig bewegt, um Standschäden zu vermeiden.
