Description

I’ve owned this glorious RT for 11 years during which time I’ve accumulated over £60k worth of receipts for maintenance and improvements by the distinguished marque specialist RR&B Garages of Hanbury. It’s fair to say I have been a fastidious owner.
Mechanically this car is absolutely on the button and perfect - ready to whisk you to Monte Carlo and back.
Head gaskets replaced 3yrs ago and at the same time the valve stems were renewed and while the engine was open anything else that was worth doing was done at the same time.
The suspension front and rear has been entirely renewed.
The entire air conditioning system from end to end has been replaced and blows ice cold.
Cooling system fully overhauled and a new radiator fitted.
4x recent new (correct) Avon turbo speed tyres.
New steering rack.
Recent new discs, pads and callipers on the front.
Last year I had the underside fully cleaned and weatherproofed.
And the list goes on - anything that needed doing has been done and done properly.
Long MOT till August 2026.
During my ownership it’s never had any MOT advisories.

The car has covered just shy of 83000 miles, I bought it 11 years ago on 72000 so I’ve averaged around 1k miles a year all of which have been on summer days out and going to car shows.

Cosmetically the car presents excellent and has had £6k spent on paint correction and bodywork improvements but it isn’t concours - if it was I’d be asking for £10k more!
The colour is Wildberry Mica which is absolutely stunning, it really pops in the sunshine. The interior is Sandstone cream Connolly leather piped in Wildberry. The dashboard top roll is also in Wildberry with a full set of matching sheepskin rugs.
Full service kit in the boot with an all weather cover and Bentley CTEK battery conditioner which connects via a socket in the boot.
During my ownership I've only ever used premium E5 fuel - usually Shell v-power.

The not so good points - the alloy wheels are pretty good but one or two would look better for a refurb (i'm being a perfectionist), the near side rear arch has a blister, the front and rear screens are showing signs of delamination around the edges and the one and only known fault is the drivers seat ECU needs removing and sending to specialist Bowling-Ryan in Bolton for a refurb. (Bowling have a 3mth back order which is the only reason I haven't had this done yet and the cost is around £250).

In summary I believe this is the best most useable Turbo Bentley you’ll find for sale in the UK today and very sensibly priced - and to boot it’s a last of the line desirable ‘RT’ with 400bhp (1 of 202 RHD models) in a fabulous colour.
Only selling as I’m moving house and need to downsize my collection to make room for my next project car (a 1927 Rolls Twenty). Comes with a full and detailed service history in two box folders.
Supplied new by the Bentley dealer ‘Wyndhams’ of Cardiff and from thereafter spent a large part of its life being maintained by Harwoods the main Bentley dealer in Sussex up to 2011, then specialist independents and RR&B Garages from 2014 to the present day.
The vehicle has had a number of interesting previous owners which is supported by the accompanying DVLA history report.
First owner was Ian Maxwell (son of Tycoon Robert) bought in a company name not long after being acquitted of pension fraud and claiming bankruptcy.
A later long term owner was Paul Zetter OBE of Zetter football pools who through his tenure employed a full time chauffeur.

The car has been featured in a couple of magazines, most recently the RR&B driver magazine.

Surprisingly the car is quite economical to run, it’s better on fuel than you might expect (it’s certainly better than my 5. 0 supercharged Range Rover!) and it’s cheap to insure and tax.

Don’t really want to sell it and I certainly won’t be entertaining any silly offers. But - I need to make room in my forthcoming new garage for my next project car which is waiting in the wings.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call and ask for Guy or if you’d like an independent ‘expert’ opinion please call RR&B Garages and ask for Ian or Oscar who can tell you all about the car..

Thank you for looking.
