I bought this Mini Cooper S R53 because I’ve always loved Mini’s, the raw, go-kart feel of these early supercharged models — they’re one of the last true driver’s Minis. This particular one stood out to me for its low mileage, clean condition, and those subtle performance touches like the KAV pulley, upgraded intercooler, and straight-pipe setup that give it just the right amount of character without going over the top. I’m only the second registered keeper of this unique wee car. It’s had everything it ever needed, been carefully & professional maintained, it’s been used as a weekend & enthusiasts car & finding a similar R53 in as good condition is getting rare. The half-leather interior with blue carpet makes it feel that bit more special. This R53 has real personality, it’s so much fun to drive, it literally puts a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel.
