We have the pleasure to present this magnificent Porsche 911 3. 0 SC from 1978, fully restored in the spirit of the legendary 911 2. 7 Carrera RS. Our model adopts the appearance and emblematic features of that model. Behind this work lies a genuine 911 SC rebuilt from A to Z, whose mechanics have been carefully reconditioned to deliver performance worthy of its famous inspiration.
Dressed in an elegant Orange Tangerine shade paired with a black and white fabric interior, which reproduces the famous Porsche “Pepita” fabric with sport seats and two small rear jump seats. Its flat-six of 2994 cm³ has been completely rebuilt and develops 220 hp.
The bodywork is distinguished in particular by the famous ducktail or “Ducktail”, a polyester add-on on the engine lid, a true stylistic signature of the model. The widened rear wings allow room for the authentic five-spoke Fuchs wheels, seven inches wide, parts faithful to the original and not mere replicas. At the front, one finds the characteristic wings of the 911 “classic”, recognisable by the small air vents. The bumpers as well as the front bonnet faithfully follow the lines of the Carrera RS, while the engine grille proudly bears the inscription 2. 7.
Inside, the fabric door pull is more inspired by the 964 RS, while the heater control, located between the seats, is in keeping with period architecture. The gear lever operates a 915-type gearbox, introduced in 1972, thus perfectly coherent with the whole. Finally, the four-spoke RS steering wheel has been replaced with a vintage-style Momo Prototipo, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the car and very pleasant to use.
The famous 915 gearbox, also rebuilt, behaves perfectly as part of the car’s overall mechanicals. This perfectly imitated Carrera RS is as powerful as the real one and can unleash freely by trusting its braking which remains a reference in the field with its chassis very well balanced thanks to its slightly lowered suspension.
The Carrera RS 2. 7 is among the must-have cars, recognisable by its vivid colours and its famous rear wing, it’s no accident that it will be named Porsche of the 20th century.
