Description
As one of the 24 UK supplied right hand drive 412 motorcars, E269DPK is a rare car. Boasting only three owners prior to myself, just 33, 000 miles, a finish in the Earls Court Motor show spec of 'Medio Blue' with Sabia interior, and service history with Bob Houghton, she is quite likely the finest example of the type extant. In regard to those three owners the first was a well know family resident at Eaton Square London (comms on file with Maranello Concessionaires), her longest owner was the second individual, based in Yorkshire (with maintenance by Bob Houghton), the chap I bought her from resident in Norfolk acquired her as part of a collection where he had a manual front engine V12 Ferrari from each of the marque's first seven decades. When I had her she went direct to Bob Houghton where Russell, if you know, you know, said 'well she does not look any different from the last time I saw her'. Purchased through fond memory of an earlier 365GT/ 4 2+2 version of the body shape my father had new, she is only for sale now as another example of the marque my father bought new has been located, and there is only one Scuderia shaped space in the garage. As a manual gearbox, front engined V12 Ferrari, 412s in this condition are not only rare but exceptional value. They must also be one of the most elegant motorcars ever made, their lines penned on the desk of the legendary Leonardo Fiorovanti. In terms of her originality, what you see is not only how she left Maranello, but exactly what left Maranello. Her trim, her paint, all original. If you need to get from Calais to Monaco in one hop, there cannot be many more elegant ways to do it. A true Grand Tourer, though an example which as a manual is also great fun when you are off the autoroute.
