lAND ROVER SERIES 88" DIESEL WITH GALVANISED CHASSIS. Registered 1970 but declared manufactured 1962. Over the years it has been updated/ changed so it now has a rust free series 3 bulkhead and front end. 4 years ago it was given a new galvanised chassis painted in black chassis paint. At the same time it received 4 new parabolic springs, new brake pipes, a stainless steel exhaust and new wiring loom. It has a winch bumper but no winch, stailess fuel tank guard and heavy duty steering track rods and guard.
The hood is new this year and it has just been serviced with new heater plugs, timing chain sprockets and tensioner.
The tyres are very good 600 x 16 plus there is a set of larger tyres 750 x 16 which were on it when I purchased it. There are dents to the front wings as can be seen in the pics. It also has free wheeling front hubs.
The engine starts readily but it is a bit smokey which is likely to be due to old injectors, but it clears as it warms up.
A more solid land rover would be hard to find.
