Description
Beautifully restored 1990 Rover Mini Checkmate showing 74000 miles on the clock. This mini has had an extensive restoration, as can be seen in the pictures. This would make a great show car tho could be used daily.
The body was stripped to bare metal externally with numerous panels being replaced. The vehicle body was then epoxy primed and painted in the correct shade of Rover black. Both subframes have been fully reconditioned, primed with epoxy and painted in 2k black. All running gear has been reconditioned, new ball joints, wheel bearings, track rod ends, rubber bushes and associated hardwear. Rear brakes have had new back plate, shoes, cylinders, hand brake, cable, pipes and all associated brackets. Front brakes have had pads and discs replaced springs and retaining pins and all pipe work replaced.
The engine has been inspected along with the gear box and is in great condition. This has then been cleaned and repainted. With the addition of a new water pump and alternator, clutch oil seal, timing cover oil seal, diff output oil seals, gear linkage oil seal including Mini Spares bush.
In addition other parts such as the exhaust, shock Absorbers and associated hardwear have been replaced. Also has new tyres and battery.
The interior is original and in good condition, with original carpets and three clock dash.
A bit of history about this car. We purchased this car earlier this year due to it being a great candidate for saving. The car shows on mot check from 2006 to 2009, then the car was stored. Before this we believe the car may have been a cat d in the year 2000. Tho this wouldn't make any difference thought it best to mention it.
