Bought new by Mr Snowden of Sheffield early in 1998 and is believed to be one of the very first diesels of the production line after an initial run of 500 petrol engine of the new model Freelander, s. Was registered in April 1998 and was in his ownership until his passing in 2020 but then was re-registered at some point later in a family members name at the same address for onward sale purposes but was then sold in 2024/ 5 when it was bought by a classic retro company when it came into my ownership in early 2025. The car will come with the original bill of sale and receipt. It has had 9 services that i have got paperwork for plus loads of work and parts when it was recommisioned including timing belt, water pump, engine oil and filters, gearbox oil, brake fluid, brake discs and pads and much more. 4 new tyres were also fitted as the old ones were out of date. It was the top of the range model when it was made being the XEDI with the Rover [L] diesel engine and manual gearbox and lovely cloth interior as that was the only option for the first 2 years of production. Comes with working sun roof,[was replaced in MR Snowdon, s ownership by Land Rover.] roof rails , tow bar and side steps. Also still got its prop so is 4WD. Its not concourse but it in pretty good nick with the Caladonian blue paint work coming up lovely. Interior is very good no worn seats or bolsters and comes with Land Rover fitted rubber mats but unfortunately the radio code card that is with the paper work dosn, t unlock it. We only take it out to summer shows and its only done 300 miles or so since we bought it but the good lady has never really liked it as we have always shown saloons before so I have bought another saloon, hence the need to sell to make space. M. O. T Till next May but could put 12 months on if its not gone quickly. This is a lovely low milage low ownership Freelander that will take you just about any were and with the L series engine although only 97 h, p is a very reliable workhorse. Comes with original main dealer number plates and spare wheel cover, Although I have had two valuations on the car which are higher then the asking price being a realist though offers are invited.
