Description
A truly wonderful and absolutely glorious TVR V8S.
Stats: 940KG - 240BHP - 270LBFT.
An absolute rocket.
J2 HKD has covered only 57, 500 miles from new & has been fastidiously maintained by myself and its former keepers. All backed up by a comprehensive maintenance record. There is an M. O. T. & or service, recorded every year since initial purchase. A thick folder, full of information, with receipts and invoices dating back to 1992.
Remarkably handsome and finished in special “Cureton Green” coachwork. Complimented by a “Biscuit” leather interior, walnut dash, capped with a “Fern” dash top. Dark green carpet set. “Chestnut” roof - Comes with the original targa roof section pouches (as pictured) Optional “Leven” gear knob/ selector and handbrake - Also comes with the “standard” black items. (as pictured) Period, original factory Kenwood radio/ cassette stereo. Optional, 8 spoke, split rim ‘OZ’ alloy wheels. Style, ‘route’ - Original space saving unmarked and unused alloy spare wheel. (also still within the original storage pouch)
Original TVR handbook and service book. X2 keys with an untouched leather Harrogate Horseless Carriages key ring attached to one.
As already previously mentioned, J2 HKD has a tremendous maintenance record. Main TVR dealer from new up to 46, 399 miles. Then independent/ specialist for the next X5 services at: 49, 171 - 49, 699 - 49, 750 - 49, 889 & 51, 330. Then once again back to what would’ve been the main dealer (HHC Hexham Horseless Carriages) at: 52, 510, then specialist once more for the next X2 services at 52, 894 & 56, 071 miles respectively.
At 49, 805 miles J2 HKD had a new set of outriggers. At this point the chassis was also fully inspected. With a clean bill of health the chassis and outriggers were then rust protected and wax oiled sealed.
At 49, 885 miles a completely new carpet set was installed.
At 52, 510 miles a new clutch and a new radiator along with new tyres were also fitted.
Spectacular !
Dry stored when not in use, under a car cover and kept on a battery conditioner/ trickle charger. Kept at purpose built premises, in a temperature controlled environment. Please note. J2 HKD is currently SORN. This is for the winter months.
The S series V8S is an absolute brute of a British sports car. Do not get these cars mixed up with the lesser Ford Cologne V6 models. The S1, 2, 3 & even the S4 cars. The V8S is a completely different animal. Mechanically superior and emotionally on a different planet. I am a previous Griffith 500HC owner and can concur that the V8S is just as immense.
Fun Fact:
1 of only 240 UK V8S models. Reputedly only 52 remaining on the UK roads and only 17 actually taxed and in use. An extremely rare car.
Any questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks for looking.
