Description
Genuine Series 3 2. 5 Diesel Land Rover - TAX and MoT exempt
Having spent much of it's life on a farm in North Yorkshire, I arranged for the vehicle to be transported to RCM Land Rover specialists in York last year who have completed the following works -
New leaf-springs/ shocks/ bushes front & rear
New drums/ brakes/ master cylinder and all lines in copper/ brass
All five wheels powder coated to match roof and fitted with new tyres
New clutch slave & master cylinders
New fuel-tank
New speedometer cable
New galvanised bumper and minor welding to fit same
New mud-flaps all round
Some new lights/ wiring
Discrete USB mounted below dash for phone/ satnav etc
New starter-motor and battery
Registered as a Vehicle of Historic Interest this Landy is tax and MoT exempt but when presented voluntarily (as recommended by the DVLA) the only 'issue' related to emissions which is inevitable for an authentic vehicle from 1984
The paintwork to the exterior is all original hence a few scratches but no dents and of course the authentic 'patina'
Isolated welding required to the bulkhead beneath the front windscreen as all Series models - please refer photographs
I have tried to be as open as possible regarding the condition but any questions please just ask, thank youGenuine and authentic - there are increasingly less of these particular models available and being manufactured in the year that production ceased the '84 Series 3 really was 'the last of it's kind' before the 90 was introduced. Having spent much of it's life 'on the farm' this vehicle has been well maintained but with no cosmetic enhancements. I have cut rubber underlay for the front footwells and rear tub, whilst new rubber gaiters are provided for the gearstick/ diff lock and ratio levers. I also have a pair of new rear lights but these have not yet been fitted.
Selling simply because whilst a classic Series 3 Land Rover is a thing of beauty, it is most definitely not a campervan
