First registered in 1974 this AVO Type 49 Ford Escort Mexico in Modena Green has an extensive history file including photos of the restoration which was done 36 years ago and in that time the previous owner has only travelled 14, 000 miles taking the car to various shows. This car is well known in the AVO Club and classic car circuit winning 30+ trophies and featured in several Ford Magazines. As you can see by the photos, the car is in stunning condition and the only cosmetic changes I have had professionally carried out is to replace all windscreen and window rubbers and also to have the front, rear seats reupholstered(supplied by Aldridge trimming. Mechanically the car is perfect and runs very well with it's original slightly upgraded engine and original 4 speed gearbox. Beautiful original two tone wheels, period tyres. Has been fitted with central locking and security alarm with immobilizer. Upgraded fuel pump and fuel cut off switch. I am open to serious offers.
