There are not many of these left. I love this car but unfortunately I cannot maintain it any longer due to living in a terraced house with no off road parking. MOT is current with 8 months remaining. It would be an ideal donor car if you are renovating the same model OR a great project vehicle. Brake shoes, 3 tyres have plenty of ife left (at east 15000 miles). Fuel tank was re lined in 2024 and a new fuelpump fitted (2023). Cylinder head was replaced after the timimng bet snapped (approx mileage 115000) in 2000 approx. Some work would be required if you dont lile the current look. The rear bumper brackets rusted away and need fabricating so no rear bumper fitted (not an MOT failure). The clutch cable needs replacing as it occassionally slips slightly. Laquer is peeling. Black underseal applied were the sills were welded towards the back end. The alarm / imobiliser has had the fuse pulled to prevent the battery draining. Battery is good. Both front cross members replaced and in good condition. There is a slight dent to the rear boot lid (immediately touched up before any rust could set in. The headlining is sagging towards the back. O/ S passenger door centrallocking does not work and same door window very stiff. Inside the car is very good (see photos). I have hundreds of receipts to prove maintenance history. And all te MOT history. There are only 24 licenced versions of this car left in the UK database (there may be more SORN)This Rover (he is called Arthur) drives really well and I hate to be selling it after many years of ownership (18). However, unfortunately I no longer have the fascilities or the time to maintain it properly and parts are becoming rare making it harder and harder to get through an MOT. It would make an excelent project car for a Britsh car fan. The K series 16 valve engine runs really well with good smooth gear changes. It is a delight to drive and a perfect size on the road. Dash is walnut with black soft plastic dash and grey trim. The car has been in my family since circa 1997.
