Fully restored XT600e in immaculate condition.
Low Mileage usable classic.
The previous owner had completed a full nut and bolt rebuild of this bike starting with a total strip down. 16894 miles.
The restoration then incorporated:
. Frame blasted and then new powder coating to original grey
. All bearings replaced
. Engine full service
. Carburettor stripped, ultrasonic clean, jets replaced
. Wheels rebuilt with new rims and spokes
. New Tyres
. Brake calipers rebuilt with new seals
. New battery
- New Quill exhaust
. New Starter motor
. New Chain
. Original bash guard skid plate
. Braided brake lines
Video of the bike running available on requestI bought the bike with the intention of using for some off road rally events but have decided its just to perfect an example to do so. Its a beautiful machine to ride and perfect for shows and meets. When I originally picked up the bike it had a Acerbis 23L long range tank and it had been sprayed to match the beautiful Yamaha yellow paintwork. However, these plastic tanks are not designed to be painted totally as they breath when have fuel added and this resulted in the tank paintwork bubbling quite badly (photos included). I was considering stripping the tank paint to clean or wrap etc when an original metal tank became available. I subsequently have had this sprayed to match. I also then had a set of the ultra rare tank side panels supplied new from a guy in Portugal. I will include the plastic tank in the sale if required for any long distance events etc.
The result is a fantastic looking electric start XT in a rare colour. This last version of the XT 600 had the 3TB engine that was incorporated improvements rectifying previous issues and is a completely reliable unit. Pulls well through the gears, and handles beautifully.
