MUST BE SOLD DUE TO ILLNESS
An unparalleled opportunity to acquire one of British Automotive and Jensen's most significant British automobiles. This is a highly desirable, matching-numbers Jensen FF, one of only eight remaining Vignale-bodied prototypes ever ( hand) built in Italy. Originally delivered new to Morgan Duff of Norfolk and supplied to the famous Harrison family by special order ( well known 250GTO owners) , this specific vehicle is confirmed by the Jensen FF Museum UK to retain its original, special-order colour combination of Mist Grey paint over Vignale Steel Blue leather interior.
This unique collector's piece boasts exceptional provenance and meticulous documentation dating back to 1967. The masive and complete history file includes the original build sheet, workshop manual, and extensive correspondence including many letters discussing the original order.
Comprehensive, Museum-Supported Restoration:
Supported and monitored by Ulric Woodhams' and the Jensen Museum, a detailed refresh restoration (approx. £75, 000 cost) was recently completed to a high standard in Sweden. The work included:
• Engine: The original factory-supplied engine was completely stripped and rebuilt, including an overhaul of the correct Carter carburettor.
• Mechanicals: the famous anti lock brakes, suspension, and automatic transmission have all been professionally rebuilt.
• Bodywork: Treated to a bare-metal repaint in the correct Mist Grey. Unique Vignale details, including the original '8' factory stampings on components, have been preserved.
• Interior: Re-trimmed to original specification in Vignale Steel Blue leather.
• Wheels: Restored correct Rostyle wheels fitted with new Avon Turbo Speed tyres.
With only five total owners (two UK, two Swedish from 1988 and one on return to UK recently), this historically significant Jensen FF has recently returned to the UK and is being sold from a significant private collector who paid £120, 000 for this car and spent an additional £20, 000 with Copredy Bridge Jensen very recently.
