I have decided to sell of one of my classic Mercedes Benz projects, this W126 500SEL was a barn find by my self along some a couple of other Mercedes I added to my private collection. When we found this we put a new battery and fresh fuel this started up no issues(can send video to potential buyer). Gear selector needs looked at (the gear linkage underneath needs looked at easy accessible, still went into gear and reversed we put in neutral to load)
Built by Mercedes in august of 1988, finished originally is Diamond blue metallic with the (972) blue velour electronically adjustable seats front passenger and drivers. Leather steering wheel sunroof, burred walnut root trim,
I do have a copy of the build sheet with options shows order number options etc.
I am a classic car enthusiast and currently own around 20 vehicles, slowly selling off my collection to try and thin it down.
This vehicle is a car I wanted to put back on the road and believe it wont take much, yes the paint work has been keyed back, work has been done on arches and a few areas but the floor is totally solid and has been in a dry storage shed for around 9 years.
would make a great project for somebody to bring back to its glory. The price is non negotiable i believe has been priced fairly. will need mechanical recommission and paintwork to bring it back.
