I've owned this for about 5 years and done around 60000 miles in it. It's the 1. 9 TD VOLCANE with the turbo xud engine. Still pulls amazingly well. It's tatty and needs some love. I have basically used it as a van but the interior is pretty good still and would clean up well. Paintwork is poor all over and also today I have opened the sunroof and it won't quite close again so I'll tape it up.
In my ownership it has had whatever it needed to keep it on the road and reliable. So that includes, rebuilt injector pump, new alternator, correct turbo backbox, the cambelt was done shortly after I bought it, it's got newish (4000 miles) all season RoadX tyres, it's had obviously routine brakes and suspension work as and when, it had an oil change and filter and air filter 6000 miles ago. The inner wings have been welded and the nsr sill. It's had a thermostat and new boot struts last week. It's extremely economical, fast ish and comfortable. I have been all over the UK and France in it and indeed did Antibes to Caen in one day with no problem. I haven't used it much recently due to buying another ZX, 1. 4 petrol 3 door with only 67000 miles. One of them has to go so I will be advertising the other car too.
Any trial, come and view. This ZX volcano is a bit rough and ready but I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Antibes tomorrow although ideally I would like to see it go to someone who would show it some love and do a bit of restoration work on it. Very rare and would make a super car
Also had a new rad and battery in my ownership. I'll continue to add things is I remember more. Loads of paperwork and history with it
