MGB GT AUTOMATIC wire wheels, older restoration photos and some paperwork to show still in lovely condition MORE PHOTOS TO FOLLOW when I can get over there to take (please read all the advert as there is some work to do, so priced to take this into account) THE CAR WILL NEED COLLECTION BY TRAILER. It’s had new wings/ inner & outer sills, superb paint. I bought this car last year from Former Glory MG specialist and it was driving really well; good interior - new carpet set. the car was for sale at £8, 500 priced lower than most of their cars owing to a glass sunroof that did not open. After driving around for a few months I decided to do something about the sunroof and found a new fabric roof that would fit into the hole which had been cut for the glass roof, so took the car off the road for a few weeks to do this. I then thought I’d remove the cylinder head to have a look inside and have a clean up - as the head was off I bought new valve springs, reground valves etc then I got hold of a piper cam …HR270 fast road …would go well with the webers . I got even more carried away and went for a pair of split Webers with an MG special tuning inlet manifold to go with the carbs I did have the car running on these before I stripped off the head and was running well and sounded brilliant and do look the part I believe split webers were fitted to some of the works cars . the carbs have been fully rebuilt and jetted for the mg. Throttle rods and automatic kick down all custom made to a high standard - New red top facet fuel pump and new fuel regulator, new fuel pipe from tank, all just fitted new 12v battery - new 3 branch exhaust manifold- stainless steel exhaust- a rebuilt Mallory distributor ( twin points ) unfitted at present. there is now a work’s style air scoop fitted in the grill and ducting to get clean air to carbs other than this the car looks standard. HERE’S THE DEAL - my health has taken a turn for the worse, so not going to get this car back together anytime soon. I’ve also now lost my under-cover storage so it’s now sitting outside under a sheet - SO WHAT’S TO DO? well, the head needs fitting - new gasket set supplied, carbs etc., distributor needs fitting - sunroof is in but headlining needs fitting ( new), the piper cam I have new cam followers to go with the cam if you wish standard cam still in. If you got stuck in maybe a weeks work? the car was driving well before I removed the parts. also a rebuilt pair of original SU carbs and manifold included as well. The car is on sale for a lot less than it’s stands me in - this is a cracking MG - not show standard but really sound and which can be used, driven and enjoyed. if you want more info on the restoration contact former Glory as they knew who did the work - just say it was the automatic MG that was swapped for a Jeep Wrangler! will post more photos when it stops raining and I can get over there. the photo in the ad was taken at the beginning of the summer when I was using the car
and had just started to fit the new sunroof -! open to a swap for a Jeep Wrangler TJ must be auto - The MG is 50+ years old so can not guarantee mileage - do not want this MG outside all winter so Open to very close offer genuine interest only thanks in all a cracking mgb gt for £4250/ and a little bit of work your have good one I do have the centre speaker/ gearbox to dash trim just missing in the photosI bought this mgb gt as it was the best automatic I could find with in my price range I needed an automatic and was so hard to find one that had a sound body

2 inquiries about mileage I don’t know the Speedo is reading 56000 but who knows - the photos of the block / the engine block has been covered in grease / looks like rust in photo but it’s jut grease
