Up for sale is this super rare twin sliding door 1979 type 2 camper van. This camper went a full restoration in 2007 which included back to metal re-paint, the paint colour now is Turkish Green. The engine was replaced shortly after with a 1650cc built by remtech, over the years its done many trips across Europe and has not missed a beat. The camper is a Devon conversion with a double bed, Cooking stove and double lined curtains. The rear seats also have had lap belts fitted which is a real bonus. Engine and gearbox are very sweet, starts every time, it's been super reliable. Tons of history which mount to thousands of pounds from over the years.
Only 4 previous owners, the last owning it for 28 years!! The van does have rust in a few areas being an older restoration but only to the outside, the structural parts are fine, it's just superficial and adds to the wonderful character. The underside is in very nice condition, no rust or rot problems.
