Description
1977 Cadillac Coupé De Ville – The Ultimate Cruiser.
Back in 1977, you were truly "the man" if you could afford a Cadillac Coupé De Ville! I don’t think there was anything larger or more luxurious on the market at the time. What a massive machine. It’s hard to imagine that this seventh generation was actually "downsized" compared to its predecessor.
This reduction in size and engine capacity was a response to the oil crisis and changing market demands, but make no mistake: it remains a magnificent car. It’s less of a vehicle and more of a living room on wheels...
Condition
A very clean and sharp-looking car. It’s clear that countless hours have been invested into this Cadillac, both in the paintwork and the interior. The latter was recently completely reupholstered in beautiful, soft, and supple leather.
The car is fully complete, and almost all options and accessories are functional—yes, including the cruise control and the air conditioning! In 2012, the engine was overhauled at a cost of €9, 000, which included hardened valve seats specifically for running on LPG. It’s no surprise, then, that the car comes with a recent appraisal report valued at €27, 500.
Driving Experience
You might think maneuvering this "land yacht" would be a challenge, but nothing could be further from the truth! It devours mile after mile with ease. Everything is geared towards smoothness, suppleness, and absolute comfort. That is its true strength: you feel completely at ease in this bold cruiser. This particular example drives, steers, and brakes incredibly well.
Maintenance
It’s always a pleasure to see a car that has been maintained with such care and passion, especially one of this age. This Cadillac comes with a thick folder of invoices and documentation. The most recent invoice from 2025 (€3, 000) covers the following work:
New front and rear shock absorbers
New control arm bushings
New stabilizer bar bushings
Fresh oil and filters
