Exceptional Provenance | Complete Main Dealer History | £21, 000 Restoration
Few Clio Williams Phase 1s survive with this level of provenance, documentation, and condition. With a complete main dealer service history from new, every service invoice retained, and over £21, 000 recently spent on a meticulous nut-and-bolt restoration, this 1993 example represents a truly exceptional opportunity for the serious collector.
Overview
This is a remarkable Clio Williams Phase 1, benefiting from an extraordinary early life, long-term enthusiast ownership, and one of the most comprehensive history files you are ever likely to see.
Only two enthusiast owners covered 99% of the car’s mileage, all completed within the first ten years of its life. During this period the car was serviced every 6, 000 miles without fail at Renault main dealers, resulting in 21 consecutive services, all supported by original invoices and a fully stamped service book.
The history file is extensive and even includes original shipping tags from when the car was transported from France to Southampton.

Early Life & Ownership History
The car was delivered new on 15 January 1994 to its first owner, Dr Galloway. The first two owners were enthusiasts who meticulously maintained the car and retained every service invoice. All mileage was completed by 2006, after which the car saw very little use.
In 2006, the second owner sadly passed away and the car was placed into storage. It remained stored until 2015, when it was purchased by an enthusiast with plans to restore it. In 2019, the car was sold to another enthusiast who commissioned a full, no-expense-spared restoration.
Restoration
Between 2019 and 2023 the car underwent a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration, carried out by well-regarded specialists. The restoration is fully documented with hundreds of photographs and invoices totalling over £21, 000.
Since completion, the car has covered approximately 1, 000 miles.
The result is a Clio Williams that presents in near-concours condition, with outstanding bodywork, interior, mechanicals, and an immaculate underside that reflects the quality of the work undertaken.
