Description
Here is my 1925 Model T Ford tourer. It was restored between 2004-2010 by the previous owner. He used it sparingly and then stored it for several years before selling it on because his health was failing. I am the second UK owner and the V5c is in my name. It is registered historic and is taxed and insured. I am the second UK owner. I did a basic service this Summer, including an oil flush, added an oil sight gauge, new plugs, new coil and have done about 100 miles since.
She starts easily, settles quickly and drives well. The engine and transmission are reasonably quiet. The upholstery is leather. There is a set of side screens for the car which were bought new from the USA but never fitted - you would need to buy some fasteners to fit them. She runs 12v and a Texas T ignition system.
The wheels were repoked in 2010 using hickory parts imported from the USA. This car was bought as a non-runner, after the elderly owner couldn't start it and couldn't find anyone to sort it for him. It was a simple project for my grandson to do with me. As it turned out both the fuel system and the electrics were at fault but all sorted now. I'm not aware of any issues with the car.
