Volvo PV544 1961 3. 5 Litre V8. This is a really stunning car in beautiful condition. Imported from Sweden in 1994. All work carried between 2014 and 2017 to a very high standard.
Repainted in its original colour 8 years ago and still looks stunning especially with the louvered bonnet.
The engine was fully rebuilt and upgraded with SD1 cylinder heads, 3 core radiator with twin electric cooling fans, Edelbrock 500cfm 4 barrel carburettor and inlet manifold. The twin exhausts giving the perfect V8 soundtrack and admired wherever she goes.
The gearbox was also fully rebuilt and upgraded to the stronger BW65 automatic gearbox with oil cooler.
The rear axle was also fully rebuilt including a new crown pinion and wheel. Ratio 3. 07:1.
Upgraded to Volvo Amazon servo assisted front disc brakes and front suspension, also has power assisted rack and pinion steering. Drives like a modern car.
The original factory interior is in beautiful unmarked condition. No holes, tears or marks and is testament to the care received over the years.
Recently fitted new carpets throughout. Just had full oil and filter service front to back.
This car runs beautifully and is a pleasure to drive with all gauges and switchgear working as it should.
New tyres recently fitted.
This car is rock solid and never welded.
Correctly registered on V5.

To the best of my knowledge this is the only V8 PV544 in the country and possibly Europe. Have only ever seen one in the States.
This is a very rare car in lovely condition. Only selling to help fund Motorhome purchase. A very rare V8 classic car in beautiful condition. Gets lots of admiration at the shows. Driving along you will not pass another.
