Description
2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 Elegance Coupe (W209) – Smooth V6, ULEZ Free, High Spec, Beautiful Example
Selling my Mercedes CLK320 Elegance. A timeless, pillarless coupe powered by the reliable 3. 2L V6 – the perfect mix of comfort, presence and everyday usability.
In the period that I’ve owned this vehicle (just over a year), it has not let me down once – not a single breakdown. I’ve been doing roughly 300 miles a week, around 70% motorway / 30% city, and it’s been effortless. On motorway runs, it averages around 37mpg, which is very impressive for a 3. 2 V6.
This car genuinely gets compliments wherever it goes. With all the windows down, the pillarless design looks absolutely amazing – these are ageing like fine wine.
The interior quality is outstanding. I recently sat in a brand-new Mercedes CLE (£70, 000 retail) and, honestly, the interior quality in this CLK is far superior. Proper materials, solid build, and a real premium feel.
The car presents really well. Bodywork is in very good condition for its age and it drives spot on. Importantly, there are no electrical issues – everything works as it should. As expected with any 2003 car, it has a few minor, typical CLK niggles, but nothing that affects reliability or how it drives.

What I’ve loved most about this CLK is how effortlessly good it is at everything. It’s genuinely been the most reliable cars I’ve owned — just over a year of ownership, doing around 300 miles a week, and it hasn’t missed a beat once. You just get in, turn the key, and it does exactly what you want every time.
On the road, the 3. 2 V6 is the highlight. It’s incredibly smooth, sounds great when you let it rev, but is also relaxed and refined when cruising. On the motorway it’s quiet, comfortable, and will happily return around 37mpg, which still surprises me for a naturally aspirated V6.
The pillarless coupe design is something you don’t really get anymore. With all the windows down it looks and feels special, and it turns heads everywhere — this car genuinely gets compliments from people of all ages. It has real presence without being flashy.
Inside, the quality is what really sold me. The materials, the way everything feels, the solid build — it’s proper old-school Mercedes. I recently sat in a brand-new Mercedes CLE and, honestly, this CLK felt more premium. It feels like a car that was built to last, not just to look good in a showroom.
Overall, it’s a car that makes every journey feel a bit nicer, whether that’s a long motorway run or just popping into town. Comfortable, reliable, classy, and still special — that’s what the next owner will enjoy most.
