Description
1958 Ducati 175 Sport.
Owned for 6 years, ridden regularly and in great condition. Not concours because it has been ridden and not just a display piece.
Correct frame and engine numbers for 175 Sport, the numbers on European market Ducati’s of this era never had matching numbers as engines were just plucked from the line. US market bikes only had “matching numbers” because they had a stamped foil sticker on arrival to match the engine number.
Runs very well with electrex ignition/ alternator kit and its original and very rare 22. 5mm Dellorto carb.
Forks were all rebuilt with stanchions hard chromed again. Had frame resprayed about 3 years ago.
Engine rebuilt by previous owner who is Ducati enthusiast, all I’ve done engine wise is fit new clutch plates, added the electrex ignition and regularly change the oil.
Great fun to ride, so light and handles brilliantly with excellent brakes.
