Description
Completely original, immaculate interior, strangest rev counter I have ever seen! Has been entered into shows all around the country and has won a couple of awards due to it being so original. It has been very reliable and certainly turns heads wherever it goes.
The car has a few issues. The belt needs tightening, fuel gauge doesn't work and neither does the passenger electric window. There are little bits of rust dotted around the car although the brown paint means it doesn't show too well.
I have really enjoyed owning this Talbot over the last 5 years, I have bought a very low mileage Samba forcing a very reluctant sale. These Talbots are really rare now. If you go out for a drive or to a show, you are very unlikely to see another one. Lots of people like to stop for a chat about their experiences of owning a Talbot (positive and negative)
The interior is very comfortable and the car is now tax and MOT exempt. A local garage has given it a check over each April though.
The car was bought in 1983 from Ullswater Road Garage in Penrith, Cumbria and had a service stamp each year until 2006. It lived up in Scotland for a few years and the previous owner before me rescued it from a barn prior to me buying it off him in February 2020.
In my ownership it has had new tyres, track rod ends, gear linkages and a new cable fitted for the mileage/ speed clocks.
