Description
HISTORY
Of these unique MGB Roadster Limited Editions only 420 were built. This might very well be, after the one in the Gaydon Motor Museum, the one with the lowest mileage, only 18, 677 miles.
This LE Series was only built for the UK market and all had right hand steering. These really were the last MGB's built. Actual production had already stopped.
Because this is one of the last series it is considered to be the best driving MGB.
The car for sale has a full history including paperwork which will be included in the sale. Previous owners, license plate numbers and documentation.
EXTERIOR
All 420 built roadsters were delivered in the bronze metallic colour with gold striping on the side. Dit exemplaar is schade- en roestvrij en bevindt zich nog in de eerste lak. The rubbers, lighting and the chrome work are in good condition. The overall cosmetic condition is good with only minimal signs of use.
The installed wire wheels give the impression that the car was originally supplied with wire wheels, which would then have to be painted wheels. They sit loose with the car because the previous owner has fitted chrome wire wheels underneath.
The alloy wheels with which a Limited Edition could also be supplied can also be included.
INTERIOR
A striking interior with the orange upholstery featuring brown stripes, as originally supplied. The interior is also in original and good condition. Thanks to its age it is equipped with comfortable refinements, such as a central armrest and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
The synchronised 4-speed gearbox features an overdrive, which provides a pleasant '5th gear'. The boot space accommodates the spare wheel.
TECHNICAL
This MG is well maintained. It drives and shifts like new. Also the Overdrive works perfectly. It has a valid MOT until 2028. On 10 February 1981 bought new by the first owner. He stored the car and only had it registered in 1987. He had to show the DVLA where the car had been all that time (letters present).
Afterwards sold to a second owner, a Dutchman who lived in England.
He took the car to the Netherlands in 2002 and the car was then registered on a Dutch plate.
The whole history is documented and sits with the car.
