Description
1968 VW Type 1 Beetle in Savannah Beige L620
This is an extremely good condition example of a survivor car having only covered 42, 000 miles from new.
It is known to have been garaged for the last 30 years and has had very little use.
It was bought from a deceased estate and fully recommissioned by One on One restorations in Lancashire from front to back and top to bottom. A list of the recommission work is available to view but includes:
Replacement, as new, original fuel tank and sender.
5 new Michelin XZX tyres.
New brake cylinders and hoses.
New clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing.
The only body work ever carried out is as follows:
Offside front wing dent repair and repaint, still the original wing.
Nearside rear wing dent repair and partial repaint, still the original wing.
Wheels blasted and repainted.
No welding ever performed, non needed.
The car has just been taken apart and fully greased, adjusted and serviced of all parts including the engine. A new main oil seal was replaced at this point. This work was carried out at Classic Volks in York.
The interior of the car is excellent with an uncut dash board and perfect headliner. All the original carpet is still in place and unworn.
The care drives perfectly and all service parts have been replaced with new old stock parts, nothing is out of place with this car.
For the full asking price, the very rare Swedish roof rack will stay in situ.
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell the car, I am downsizing my collection of classic cars, bikes and trucks with a view to moving on to the waterways.
Any viewing is welcome and highly recommended so you can see the true beauty of this amazing condition, all original VW Beetle.
Please call the details below to discuss anything about the car.
Car is in Suffolk.
Thank you. Unrestored and excellent original condition. Low miles and not requiring any kind of restoration or bodywork/ welding.
