For sale is my beautiful matching numbers Shovelhead, a 1980 Harley Davidson FLT80 Tour glide “King of the highway” A 2023 import from Ohio, I bought this last summer as a strong running well taken care of bike, I did some miles on it and over the winter decided to do a little work to make it nicer, the paintwork was unoriginal and a bit shabby so it has been treated to this stunning metallic green and cream paint job, polyester base coat and several coats of 2k lacquer, it really looks fantastic, it’s difficult to capture the colour in photographs, it looks better in the flesh, this has been complemented by NOS tank badges and a new fuel tap’
Also recently added has been a new battery, regulator / rectifier, new S&S super E Carb and a pair of Oxford heated grips (these are nice, never had heated grips before)
I prefer the more stripped down look that you see in the pictures but, included in the sale is : ( all in good condition ready to fit)
Original screen, in excellent condition ready to bolt on with all fixings
Original sprung buddy seat, again in excellent condition
Original passenger grab rail, good chrome
Original passenger backrest, very nice condition

Original passenger footboards with mounting brackets

So there we have it, this is a stunning genuine matching numbers bike, it starts readily and runs and rides just as it should, it sounds absolutely fantastic, it doesn’t smoke, leak oil or rattle, everything works and it’s ready to go, it shows 40k miles on the working speedometer, I have no idea if this is genuine but I have no reason to doubt it. Study the pictures carefully, this is a very nice bike indeed.
I’m very fond of shovelheads and have recently taken on 2 projects that are taking all my time, money but more importantly space, hence the sale.
The V5C is here and in my name, it is registered as historic for tax and MOT exemption. There are 2 sets of keys for both the ignition and luggage, this is cash on collection or bank transfer only please, come and have a look, give me a ring, ask questions
