Description
Ducati Elite 1961.
Frame no DM200E 152675.
Engine no DMthe details below.
Recently won 1st Continental at the Bristol Classic Bike Show 2026
Previously won 2nd Private Entry Bristol Classic Bike Show 2017 by previous owner.
In 2015 the previous owner started the restoration and completed it in 2017.
He rebuilt the engine with all new bearings etc with no expense spared.
The frame was spray painted as was the tin ware.
All new spindles and wheels, new from the ground up
He spent 7. 5K on the restoration.
I have all the invoices and receipts.
He never really rode the bike much after restoration.
In 2022 i purchased the bike from him and spent another 2K making it reliable and usable as i wanted and have now completed two Giro South West TMR events which are 500 miles each so the mileage is now 1, 529.
I converted the bike to 12v and fitted a Lacey Ducati CDI ignition and alternator kit a Lacey Ducati clutch set plus CEV horn and quality petrol tap.
I fitted a new Veglia replica rev counter and tacho drive which works perfectly.
I have got the jetting correct so it goes through the rev range faultlessly and ticks over, goes through the gears like a Swiss watch.
The bike is a beautiful example and attracts great interest when out and about. Great if you love tiddlers.
