2003 Toyota MR2 Mk3 - 79500 Miles
For sale is my 2003 Mr2 Mk3. The car is in excellent condition, having just received a full body respray to rectify the inevitable lacquer peel and fading of old red cars. I have also recently installed a new to me mint condition roof, no cracks rips or tears and 100% water tight. Windscreen is chip free and original. Headlights are ok given their age, fading is a common issue on the Mk3's, and I've done my best to get them looking good, and have also upgraded the headlight bulbs. The car also has brand new rear light lenses and seals ( at great expense) and new front LED fogs.
Inside the car is also excellent, extremely original with little signs of wear and use. Clearly well cared for throughout its life. The leather seats are also excellent, they were removed from a 36, 000 mile car, as the original drivers seat had a tear.
The previous owner did some nice mechanical modifications too. Most notable is the Toyo manifold and Cobra quad exit exhaust. The sound is truly excellent, always puts a smile on my face, and is not too intrusive in the cabin on longer drives. The car is slightly lowered on Tein coilovers, which make for a slightly stiffer but far more engaging ride. The car has had new lower arms recently with polybushes, same goes for the front antiroll bar. Previous owner also fitted Ultra Racing strut braces, not sure how much of a difference they make, but I have the originals should the new owner wish to revert to stock. Delrin shifter bushing kit from RHD performance also fitted. All this mixed with the factory LSD makes for a superb driving experience.
A very good paper history, plenty of services over the years. Notably in the last 5 years it has been serviced by Hoffmans lotus specialist. There is reference to the car having a clutch at some point. The only two items due attention on the car is the electric ariel and wheels. Whilst corrosion free they could do with a fresh lick of paint. Good Yokohamas fitted, they are a little old but no cracks and tonnes of tread.
2 keys plus valet key, car is HPI clear. I am open to offers or swaps (Alfa GTV, Cayman S etc). Thousands have been spent on the car over the years, with the recent respray being over 2/ 3 the value of the car.
