Description
This motorcycle was built by an outstanding engineer to exacting standards. It is based on a Norton Wideline frame with Norton double-damped short Roadholder front forks. The rear wheel has a Borrani alloy rim and the front wheel has a Dunlop alloy rim and a John Tickle type twin leading shoe brake. The single cylinder B31 engine has a steel flywheel and is now 400cc and incorporates Goldstar cams, Goldstar breather and brass rev counter drive gearbox built into the timing cover (pushrod tower is now black) and Norton Dominator/ Atlas clutch with a Monobloc 389 carburettor. Lots of history and many receipts are included in the sale as also is the V5C with the age-related registration number ending in A. The chronometric speedo and rev counter are neatly mounted on a custom-made bracket.
